NATASHA VDOVKINA COUNSELLING IN BRISTOL
BACP & EMDR Accredited Therapist
Fully qualified, BACP and EMDR accredited, I have been working with clients in a variety of settings, including the NHS, local therapy centre for women, Bristol University, voluntary sector organisations and private practice. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands, struggling with anxiety and depression, experienced trauma as a child or adult, or simply looking for self-growth and deeper understanding of yourself, I hope to be able to help you.
ABOUT MY PRACTICE
Support That Makes a Difference
I am particularly interested in understanding how our earliest experiences and relationships with others impact our current relationships in daily live. In my therapy work I bare in mind the wider context we live in, and the social and environmental issues that affect our inner worlds.
Although my practice is underpinned by psychodynamic understanding, I do not believe there is a single approach that works for all. I aim to tailor my service to each client and integrate such theories as Transactional Analysis, Group Analysis and EMDR in my work.
Therapy is not easy. It requires a level of honesty and commitment. My approach is warm, friendly and empathetic, yet boundaried and at times challenging. I believe a good therapeutic relationship makes positive life changes possible.
'This is the most helpful treatment for anxiety and depression I have experienced. It really helped me to understand myself and was also proactive in terms of information and guidance.'
'Life changing! Would recommend Natasha to anyone who is struggling or experienced trauma.'
'I came into this thinking I couldn't be helped and that nothing would change for me. I was worried I wouldn't be able to share my past with a stranger. But my fear soon went because I felt safe, secure and heard. My vulnerability wasn't exploited. I didn't have to fear that I was being boring or depressing or that I shouldn't talk about myself. Thank you for everything. Thank you for helping me to see a new me.'
